I.D. & Baobinga – Bass Music Sessions (Pay what you want download)
I.D. & Baobinga recently released a full length album that they have put up for download for whatever you want to pay for it ($0-whatever). All money raised from the sales of this album go towards Dove House Hospice Charity in the UK.
I just listened to it and am thoroughly pleased with yet another great set of tracks from these heavy hitters.

On a Friday like this, several years ago… #5
Well it seems like nothing much is going on with me these days other than remembering classic tunes each Friday. It’s somewhat true but not completely.
This Friday we’re gonna look at another set of random tracks:
Koma & Bones – Morpheus (2001)
Benz & MD – Oneric (Shiloh Breaks Mix) (2003)
Dark Globe – Feed (2004)
The Grid – Swamp Thing (1994)
Fluke – Atom Bomb (1997)
Have a good weekend folks

Oh what a cold, rainy day it is, here, in Toronto. Many of you have been eagerly waiting for the Friday classics and no, I shall not be doing anything Oasis related for a while. ha.
I thought of a few themes for this week but they would be reading intensive (and I’m in such a lazy mood to type) so I’m just going to post some tracks from the past that hopefully will bring back memories to some and be an introduction to others.
ETA – Casual Sub (1997)
Soul Coughing – Super Bon Bon (Propellerheads Mezzanine Mix) (1996)
Shanks & Bigfoot – Sweet Like Chocolate (1998)
Ian Pooley – Balmes (2001)
Sa Trincha – Sa Trincha (1997)
Prodigy – 3 Kilos (1994)
Don’t let the weather get you down. Have a great weekend, folks!

Last week I looked back at Oasis. Some of you liked it, some of you didn’t. Well This week I’m looking back at Oasis and their connection to other artists I like.
You’ve heard of Chemical Brothers….right?
Well they’ve been around for a long, long time. What really shot them to fame, however, was their collaboration with Noel Gallagher on Setting Sun (oh wait…you didn’t know that was Noel singing?)
The Chemical Brothers feat. Noel Gallagher – Setting Sun (1996)
A few years later, they collaborated again giving us this gem:
The Chemical Brothers feat. Noel Gallagher – Let Forever Be (1999)
Noel has done a few tracks as well. One being an instrumental featured on the OST of X-Files: Fight the Future film from 1998. which was later taken and made into a vocal track with, dare I say again, legendary Ian Brown of Stone Roses.
The Original: Noel Gallagher – Teotihuacan (1998)
The follow up: Ian Brown feat. Noel Gallagher – Keep What Ya Got (2004)
All I can hope for now, is more quality music from Noel without Oasis.
PS. If you haven’t heard about this already, in 2008 at Virgin Festival here in Toronto, Noel got knocked over by an idiot that’s now still being tried for his actions and Noel has said he wants to be present for all hearings. HA!
